Have you spent some time thinking about your project? Most people need to mull it over for a year or more before being ready to move ahead. Not to worry, this is a "normal" part of the process.

You need a Budget. Your Budget must be set and it must be realistic. Given a realistic budget, the designer has a framework to select materials at an appropriate price point.

Have you imagined the possibilities? It is helpful to look at designs in home publications and collect pictures of designs that are appealing to your personal taste. This can jumpstart the design process.

Realizing your dream is a job best left to professionals, especially if you hope to keep a schedule and stick to your budget. Going it alone exposes you to many pitfalls and needless suffering as construction begins within your home. A designer can significantly mitigate any problems that come up.
